Day 1; Kampala – Rhinos – Murchison Falls N.P

As early as 6AM in the morning, depart your hotel and route via the outskirts of the city heading to the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is a special occasion to track the extremely endangered White Rhino at Zziwa. You will not only witness the most successful Rhino breeding project in the world but also contribute to their survival. Proceed and cross Karuma Bride to finally arrive Fort Murchison. Under go check-in procedures and later embark on a sundown game-drive as an initial taste on adventure. Return to Fort Murchison and settle-in for the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight there-in

Day 2: Sunrise Game-drive – Waterfall Boat – Hike to the Top of the Falls.

Rise up early and join your driver/guide on an early morning game-adventure. Lookout for Buffaloes, Giraffes Elephants, Warthogs, Jackson Harte beasts, Lions, Leopard and Hyenas among others. The vast plains of Murchison Falls N.P. are decorated by Bosporus Palms that feed elephants which turn do the propagation. Return to your lodging, relax and take a hot lunch. At 1400hrs before you embark on a boat-cruise on the serene Nile Waters to the Bottom of Murchison Falls. On the way, lookout for pirates of the Nile; Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, variety birds including the African Fish Eagle and other animals that quench their thirst on the waters of the Nile. At this point, leave the boat and take an approximately 45 minute hike to the Top of Murchison Falls where you can bear witness to the wonders of the Falls. The Niles moves from being almost 80 meters wide to funnel through a 6 metre gorge creating a mayhem sound and wing of beautiful rainbow. A litany of expressions explain the beauty of the falls and this you can experience by own presence. Join your driver/guide and ride back to Fort Murchison

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest N.P.

Wake up to rhythm of nature, have breakfast, check-out and embark on a long scenic ride via Masindi and Hoima Towns respectively. Break for lunch and continue along the Albertine belt to Fort Portal. Proceed to your lodging facility near Kibale Forest N.P. Nestle-in at Primate Lodge in Standard Cottages with a natural forest breeze. Dinner and overnight therein.

Day 4:Chimpanzee Tracking

This early morning, wake-up and have breakfast, attend briefing by the Ranger-guide and enter the sanctuary to embark on your morning Chimpanzee tracking session. In addition to a large community of chimpanzees, there are 13 other primate species, including red and black-and-white colobus monkeys, l’Hoest’s, red-tailed, velvet and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, as well as four species of nocturnal primates.

The bird life is prolific, with approximately 400 species recorded for the area, you will be able to watch several birds with ease during the Chimpanzee encounter. The highlights include the crested guinea-fowl, great blue turaco, grey parrot, green-breasted & African pitas, African crowned eagles and black bee-eaters. Break for lunch and then embark on an afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk. The Swamp is a community based tourism project which offers a platform for you to see more primates, swamps and forest birds. On your tour, you will likely see several kinds of monkeys including black and white colobus, red colobus, mangabey, red tail, vervet, and L’Hoest. Other wetlands mammals include baboons, sitatunga (an increasingly endangered swamp antelope), bush pigs, civet cats, mongooses, bush bucks and an occasional chimpanzee appearance. Return to Primate Lodge – Standard Cottages for the night.

Day 5:Transfer to Semliki – Evening game-drive.

At 0600hrs, wake up, breakfast, check-out and route via Fort Portal and follow meandering routes with spectacular sightseeing. Visit both the female and male Sempaya Hot Springs in Semliki National Park and then proceed to Semliki Tooro Reserve. The reserve is famous for the Eastern Extension for the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin, this park is home to Africa’s most ancient and bio-diverse forests. The park serves as a haven for over 441 birds five of which are endemic to the Albertine Rift Eco-system. Look out for the Nkulengu Rail, Yellow-throated Cuckoo, Piping Horn-bill, Red-billed Dwarf Hornbill and Blue-billed malimbe among others. The park is home to over 53 mammals 27 of which are large ones and 11 of these species are endemic to the park including the pygmy antelope and two flying squirrel species. The afternoon will be spent exploring some of the aforementioned wonders of the reserve. Retire and relax at your lodging facility.

Day 6: Boat-ride – Queen Elizabeth N.P.

After breakfast, undergo briefing and take an approximately two hour boat-ride on River Semliki. The boat-cruise offers a platform for you to catch glimpse of the famous Shoe Bill Stork among other animal and plant species. Exit the park heading to Queen Elizabeth N.P. via Fort Portal and Kasese Towns Respectively. Take an introductory game –drive as your transfer to Bush Lodge. Dinner and overnight therein for the rest of the night.

Day 7:  Early Morning Game-drive – Kazinga Boat-Launch

Wake-up to the sounds of the nature, get on board and embark on a sunrise game-drive. The vast Savannah plains, swamps and forests of Queen Elizabeth are home to about 95 mammals and over 600 bird-species. Look-out for lions, leopards, elephants, warthogs, bush bucks, cape buffaloes and water-bucks among others. We shall utilize a network of trails to access animal habitats and create more avenues for you to see and experience as much as nature shall make available.

After lunch, transfer to the pier/dock to arrive on time for your afternoon boat-ride on boat Kazinga Channel. A thread of water that joins lakes George and Edward, Kazinga Channel is lifeline/habitat to Nile Crocodiles, arguably the highest concentration of Hippos on planet Earth, different species of Egrets, Goliath Herons, and Saddle – billed Storks, African Fish Eagles, Egyptian Gees and Cormorants among other bird species. The channel is a source of Elephants, buffaloes and many other bird-species.  Return to the dock and exploit the remaining part of the day in the wild.

Day 8:To Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest N.P.

Watch the sunrise over the panoramic lakes George and Edward, breakfast, check-out and take an en-route game-drive as you exit Mweya Peninsular section heading to the Ishasha section that is renowned for the tree-climbing lions. We shall employ a network of trails in the southern circuit to create viewing avenues of the great predators hanging in Fig and Acacia Trees. After picnic lunch, proceed and follow meandering routes to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 9:Gorilla tracking day

A chilly and misty morning, wake-up and prepare for the summit of your Uganda Safari; the encounter with the critically endangered Gentle Great Apes!! Pack lunch, water and a rain gear and attend the briefing session to be conducted by the head-ranger.  After, get hold of your walking stick, carry your lunch, camera and binoculars and follow our allocated ranger-guide into the gorilla sanctuary. Follow instructions as shall be given by the ranger, maintain silence and appreciate nature. On sight of the gorillas, keep calm and watch them feed, play, swing from one branch to another and fully exploit the strictly one hour allowed in their presence. Bwindi Forest is an ancient forest with a diversity of flora and fauna for you to see, feel and experience. Return to the launch site, receive your tracking certificates and take a ride back to Gorilla Safari Lodge or Similar. Possible Batwa Community visit if time permits.

Day 10: Golden Monkey Tracking – Lake Bunyonyi

Last moments in the domain of the Gentle Great Apes, breakfast, check-out and follow snaking routes via Kisoro to Mgahinga National Park Headquarters. After briefing by the ranger-guide, enter rally behind him and embark on trekking the endanger Golden Monkeys. At about lunch time, you will be back to the base, join your driver and transfer to Kisoro town for lunch. After lunch, follow meandering routes to L. Bunyonyi and settle-in at Bird’s Nest with a gentle breeze from L. Bunyonyi (Lake of little birds). Retire from the strenuous safari for the rest of the night.

Day 11:L. Bunyonyi – L. Mburo N.P.

Watch the sunrise with a panoramic view of Lake Bunyonyi; Uganda’s deepest lake, have breakfast and check-out. Get on board and join your driver-guide on a scenic road-trip to Mbarara town. Continue to your lodging facility for a hot lunch. After lunch, continue for a boat-ride on Lake Mburo, a boat-ride on L. Mburo offers an occasion to see Hippos, Nile Crocs and other terrestrial animals. The birdlife is rich with possibilities of African Fish Eagles, the rare African Finfoot, Saddle-billed Storks and an occasional views of the Shoe-billed Stork among other 332 recorded bird-species in this park. On landing, you will be led to a sundown game-drive for an occasion to see Elands, Zebras, Impala and reedbucks among other mammals. Nestle-in at Rwakobo Rock that is beautiful situated on a rock with a panoramic view of the park.

Day 12: Transfer to Kampala.

As the dawn breaks, listen to the whispers of the wild and wake up to welcome the new day in the wilderness. After a briefing, follow your allocated ranger-guide on an early morning Safari Walk. Here is a unique opportunity to see and experience wildlife on foot. Look-out for Topis, Bushbucks, Impalas and Zebras among others. Return to the Lodge, check-out and take an en-route game-drive as you exit the park via Nshara gate. A hot lunch shall be arranged en-route. We shall stop at the Equator Point for a photo opportunity and shopping for curio items/souvenirs. Proceed to Entebbe, freshen-up with farewell dinner and finally drop-off at Entebbe for onward flight out.
